The NNPP official also highlighted that a significant number of Kwankwasiya members have since joined the All Progressives Congress (APC), including their leader, Kwankwaso. He described the group that followed Kwankwaso to the ADC as a minority faction, cautioning that the ADC should not be misled by the crowd seen during Kwankwaso’s public declaration in Kano. He suggested that some of those present may have been temporary supporters rather than committed members.
Olaposi reiterated that the NNPP has no hostility toward the ADC but firmly opposes any attempt to falsely associate the party with the coalition. He stated that the NNPP is focused on its own electoral goals and will continue to operate independently. The party remains committed to its principles and will not be drawn into alliances that do not reflect its core values or strategic direction.
As Nigeria prepares for future elections, the clarification from the NNPP serves as a clear statement of its political identity and autonomy. The party’s stance underscores the importance of transparency and accuracy in political reporting, especially during election periods when alliances and affiliations are closely watched by voters and media alike.
