Troops of Sector 1, Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS), have successfully neutralised a suspected terrorist and arrested another during a military offensive in Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State. The operation took place on Wednesday, September 28, at approximately 8:32 am in Kyado, specifically targeting the Pevikya terrorist enclave located in Adomanyi. Security analyst Zagazola Makama confirmed the details in a post on X, highlighting the precision and effectiveness of the troops’ engagement.
During the encounter, the military forces engaged with members of the terrorist group, resulting in one suspect being killed and another apprehended. Other members of the group reportedly fled the scene under pressure from the troops.
