A tragic auto-crash in Adamawa State has claimed the lives of six people, including four National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members, along the Narehi area of the Girei-Song Local Government Area. The incident occurred when a military gun truck traveling from Gombi towards Yola collided head-on with a commercial Hummer bus carrying five passengers from Yola to Mubi. The collision caused the bus to flip over and burst into flames, resulting in the immediate deaths of all five occupants. The military vehicle also sustained damage, and one soldier attached to it lost his life in the crash.
According to Suleiman Nguroje, the State Police Spokesman, preliminary investigations confirm the fatal head-on collision. The Hummer bus, engulfed in fire after impact, left no survivors among its passengers. Among the deceased, four were identified as serving NYSC members posted to Adamawa State. Two of them, Suleuman Juliet and Usman Shuaibu, are natives of Kaduna State. The identities of the other two NYSC members remain unknown as authorities continue efforts to identify the bodies and notify their families.

His body, along with the other victims, has been moved to the Specialist Hospital in Yola for post-mortem examination and further identification. Police are working to trace the next of kin of the unidentified victims and provide necessary support.
