The Osun State Police Command has arrested Adebayo Isiaka Akanbi, a suspected murderer and armed robber, in connection with the killing of commercial motorcyclist Tiramiyu Afeez, whose body was discovered in February 2026 along the Ojo-Ara-Ejigbo road. The suspect was apprehended on April 18, 2026, by detectives from the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), following a thorough investigation that included intelligence gathering and technological analysis. A stolen motorcycle, identified as the victim’s Bajaj, was also recovered from the suspect, along with two ignition keys.
The case was initially reported to the ‘A’ Division, Ede, on February 23, 2026, after Afeez failed to return home following his routine commercial motorcycle operations on February 21.
