Sarah Ivie Adidi has secured the endorsement of the six geo-political zone chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to represent the AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives ahead of the 2027 general elections. The decision followed a stakeholders’ meeting held in Abuja, where party leaders, grassroots mobilisers, and key political figures gathered to discuss the political direction of the constituency and the need for strong, inclusive representation. The zonal chairmen expressed full confidence in Adidi’s leadership, citing her credibility, vision, and proven commitment to community engagement as key reasons for their support.
At the meeting, the chairmen emphasized that Adidi’s emergence reflects the collective will of APC stakeholders to back a candidate who understands the diverse needs of the AMAC/Bwari constituency. Speaking on behalf of the group, Usman Mohamed, Chairman of the APC Forum North Central, highlighted Adidi’s dedication to advocating for non-indigenous residents, who make up a significant portion of the constituency’s population. He noted that these residents have long sought stronger representation at the national level and that Adidi’s approach offers a solution to this long-standing challenge.
“Adidi’s track record of community engagement and her grassroots-driven approach to politics make her well-suited to bridge existing gaps in representation and ensure that all voices within the constituency are heard,” Mohamed stated. He urged party members and residents across the constituency to unite behind Adidi’s candidacy, stressing that collective action and unity are essential for the APC’s success in the 2027 elections.
In response, Adidi expressed deep gratitude for the endorsement, calling it a vote of confidence in her vision and dedication to public service. She reaffirmed her commitment to policies that promote inclusivity, development, and equitable representation for all constituents, regardless of their origin or background. “You cannot lead in isolation,” she said, underscoring the importance of feedback and collaboration in shaping decisions that reflect the true needs of the community.
Adidi pledged that if elected, she would ensure that all voices, especially those of non-indigenous residents, are heard and not sidelined in the FCT. She also promised to rely on the support and guidance of constituents to navigate the political landscape effectively. “I may not know everything about politics, but I am willing to learn and work with the people. Together, we can achieve meaningful progress,” she said.
She appealed for widespread support and encouraged residents to join her on what she described as a collective journey toward stronger and more inclusive representation. As the 2027 elections draw nearer, Adidi’s endorsement signals a growing momentum for her campaign and highlights the APC’s focus on inclusive leadership within the FCT.
