Ogun APC Declares Full Readiness for 2027 Elections

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State has declared full readiness for the 2027 general elections, with Governor Dapo Abiodun leading a massive rally at the Dipo Dina International Stadium in Ijebu-Ode on Thursday. Thousands of party supporters and members of Caucus 7202 converged for the event, which served as a major show of strength and unity ahead of the polls. The rally brought together delegates from all 20 local government areas of the state, highlighting the APC’s extensive grassroots mobilisation efforts. Governor Abiodun used the platform to reaffirm his administration’s achievements and express confidence in the party’s ability to retain power.

Abiodun emphasized that the overwhelming turnout was a clear indicator of the APC’s organizational strength and political maturity. He credited the party’s robust structures across the state for its growing momentum and said the administration’s seven-year record had created a solid foundation for re-election. The governor praised the peaceful conduct of party activities and described the emergence of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, as a milestone in Ogun’s political history. He commended Adeola’s experience, public service background, and leadership qualities, expressing strong confidence in his ability to govern effectively if elected.

Adeola, addressing the crowd, hailed Abiodun as a “silent achiever” whose tenure had delivered transformative development across the state. He pledged to build on existing progress and sustain the growth trajectory initiated by the current administration. The APC governorship candidate also dismissed allegations of any collusion with opposition parties, urging party members to remain vigilant against external overtures. He stressed that the APC is fully equipped with the necessary structures, organization, and support to secure victory in 2027.

The Director-General of Caucus 7202, Moctar Koiki, revealed that the group has approximately 180,000 members across Ogun State, with over 90% being non-partisan. He described Caucus 7202 as an independent support organization dedicated to mobilizing voters for the APC and its candidates, including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Abiodun’s senatorial ambition. Koiki confirmed that the group will deploy its network across all 20 local governments to intensify voter outreach and ensure maximum support for the APC’s 2027 electoral agenda.

Ogun State APC Chairman, Chief Yemi Sanusi, called on party members to take the APC manifesto to every ward and community. He underscored the importance of sustained grassroots engagement, disciplined mobilization, and effective voter education as key to electoral success. The governor also reiterated Ogun State’s commitment to delivering two million votes for President Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election. With strong leadership, broad-based support, and strategic planning, the APC is positioning itself as a formidable force in Nigeria’s upcoming elections.
