E-Tranzact Jumps 43% in One Week as Stock Extends Powerful Rally

E-Tranzact International Plc extended its strong run on the Nigerian Exchange last week, gaining 42.98 percent as sustained buying pushed the stock to N17.30.

The stock advanced from N12.10 to N17.30 during the week ended October 16, 2026, adding N5.20 per share to emerge as the second-biggest percentage gainer on the NGX.

The latest performance builds on gains recorded in the preceding week, when E-Tranzact rose 10 percent from N11.00 to N12.10.

Across the two trading weeks, the stock has climbed from N11.00 to N17.30, representing an increase of N6.30 per share or approximately 57.3 percent.

The rally gathered momentum during the latest week with E-Tranzact recording strong gains in successive sessions.

On Tuesday, October 13, the stock jumped 9.96 percent from N13.05 to N14.35. It followed that performance with another 9.76 percent increase on Wednesday, closing at N15.75.

By the end of Friday’s trading session, E-Tranzact had extended the rally to N17.30, completing a 42.98 percent weekly advance.

Only Livestock Feeds recorded a stronger performance among equities during the week, gaining 44.49 percent from N13.15 to N19.00.

Multi-Trex followed E-Tranzact with a 42.86 percent increase to N0.60, while Austin Laz & Company gained 32.73 percent to N2.92.

E-Tranzact’s rally also came during a week in which market breadth improved substantially despite a decline in the benchmark index.

A total of 50 equities appreciated, compared with 24 in the preceding week, while the number of decliners dropped to 30 from 54.

However, the NGX All-Share Index still declined 0.33 percent to 247,539.73 points, showing that strong gains in stocks such as E-Tranzact were insufficient to offset weakness in some of the market’s larger constituents.

With its latest advance, E-Tranzact has now gained more than half its value in just two weeks, making it one of the strongest-performing stocks on the NGX in the opening half of October.
