The OK Movement, a key grassroots coalition supporting Peter Obi and Rabi’u Kwankwaso’s 2027 presidential bid under the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), reaffirmed its commitment to victory in a strategic meeting held on Wednesday. The National Executive Council of the movement convened with the NDC presidential candidate, Peter Obi, to discuss mobilisation strategies and campaign coordination ahead of the upcoming general elections. The gathering underscored the movement’s resolve to intensify voter engagement and grassroots outreach across all geopolitical zones of Nigeria.
Led by its Director-General, Hon. John Ughulu, the meeting brought together top national and zonal leaders of the OK Movement. Among those present were National Secretary Saadatu Mohammed Sanni, National Director of Administration and HR Mrs. Aisha Aliyu Abdulrahman, and National Director of Operations Hon. Francis Nnodi. Also in attendance were Rev. Victor Ekam, Director of Mobilisation and Outreach, and zonal coordinators Chris Elijah from South-South, Adefolaseye Adebayo from South-West, and Alhaji Sulaiman Abubakar from North-Central.
During the session, the National Exco and zonal coordinators reiterated their unwavering support for the Obi-Kwankwaso ticket. They pledged to strengthen coordination, deepen mobilisation efforts, and ensure maximum voter participation in every state. The group emphasized that effective communication, sustained engagement, and logistical readiness would be central to their campaign strategy in the lead-up to 2027.
“We are not just campaigning; we are building a movement,” said one of the leaders during the meeting. “The mission is clear. The commitment is unwavering. NDC all the way.” These words captured the spirit of the gathering, reflecting both confidence and determination among the movement’s leadership. The OK Movement continues to position itself as a powerful force in Nigeria’s political landscape, leveraging its network of volunteers and supporters to drive electoral change.
As the 2027 elections draw closer, the movement’s focus remains on uniting Nigerians around shared values of transparency, accountability, and good governance. Their activities are designed to reach voters at the community level, ensuring that the message of the NDC resonates beyond party loyalists. With a structured leadership framework and active participation from regional coordinators, the OK Movement aims to become a defining influence in Nigeria’s next electoral cycle.
This latest meeting signals a new phase in the campaign, with intensified planning and execution expected in the months ahead. The continued collaboration between Peter Obi and his grassroots allies suggests a coordinated effort to build momentum early and maintain it through election day. As Nigeria prepares for another critical democratic exercise, the OK Movement’s role in shaping public sentiment and voter turnout will be closely watched.
