2027 Elections: Gov Sule Presents INEC Nomination Forms to APC National Assembly Candidates in Nasarawa

Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule has officially presented the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) nomination forms to the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates vying for seats in the National Assembly ahead of the 2027 general elections. The formal handover took place on Tuesday at the Government House in Lafia, marking a key step in the party’s preparations for the upcoming polls. Governor Sule, who is also the APC candidate for the Nasarawa North Senatorial District, personally handed over the nomination documents to the elected candidates, underscoring his active role in the party’s electoral strategy.

The ceremony was attended by all APC National Assembly candidates except Dr. Faisal Shuaib, the party’s nominee for the Nasarawa West Senatorial District, who was absent. Governor Sule used the occasion to congratulate the candidates on their emergence and urged them to conduct issue-driven campaigns that promote unity, strengthen party cohesion, and ensure a decisive victory for the APC in 2027. He emphasized the importance of engaging voters with concrete policies and development-focused programmes that reflect the party’s commitment to national progress.

In his address, Sule stressed that the candidates must remain focused on the people’s needs and avoid divisive rhetoric. He called on them to use the campaign period to highlight their development plans and build trust with constituents across Nasarawa State. The governor also reiterated his confidence in the party’s ability to deliver results, citing the APC’s track record in governance and electoral success.

Responding on behalf of the candidates, Abubakar Hassan Nalaraba, the APC senatorial candidate for Nasarawa South, expressed gratitude to Governor Sule for his leadership and unwavering support throughout the nomination process. Nalaraba assured the governor that the candidates would uphold the party’s values, work together as a team, and remain dedicated to advancing sustainable development in the state. He emphasized that their campaigns would be built on integrity, transparency, and a shared vision for Nasarawa’s future.

The APC’s House of Representatives candidates include Mohammed Al-Makura representing the Lafia/Obi Federal Constituency, Daniel Ogazi for Karu/Keffi/Kokona, Mohammed Albasheer for Nasarawa/Toto, Dalhatu Araf Jr. for Awe/Doma/Keana, and Tony Bala Shammah for Akwanga/Nasarawa Eggon/Wamba Federal Constituency. These candidates will now proceed with the necessary steps to complete their nominations with INEC, including submission of documents and compliance with electoral regulations.

As the 2027 elections draw nearer, the APC in Nasarawa State is positioning itself for a strong showing, with party leaders and candidates united in their goal to secure electoral victories.
