The African Democratic Congress (ADC) is confident of defeating the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections, according to Bolaji Abdullahi, the party’s National Publicity Secretary. Speaking during an interview on Symfoni TV, Abdullahi emphasized that the ADC is prepared for any scenario, especially if the electoral process is not free and fair. He stated that while the party has no doubt it will win under transparent conditions, it remains wary of potential electoral manipulation by the APC.
Abdullahi made it clear that the ADC is not taking any chances. “In a free and fair election, we have no doubt in our minds that we will win this election,” he said. However, he raised concerns about the likelihood of election rigging, noting that the APC may attempt to steal the results. “We are ready for that. We are ready for anything,” he added, underscoring the party’s determination to protect its votes.
The ADC official warned that dealing with the ruling party requires caution and strategy. “We are dealing with these APC people; you have to be ready for anything because we know that they will want to steal the election,” Abdullahi said. He stressed that his party will take proactive steps to safeguard its electoral interests, though he declined to disclose specific tactics. “We will police our votes. We know the things that we will do. We won’t tell you, but we are ready for them,” he explained.
