Security forces in Sokoto State have successfully rescued 32 kidnapped victims and disrupted a major bandit attack in Maikujera Village, Rabah Local Government Area, following a coordinated operation between the Sokoto State Police Command and the Nigerian Army. The rescue mission came after a distress call reported the movement of heavily armed bandits carrying rustled livestock and abducted civilians. Rapid response by police tactical units, including the Anti-Kidnapping Unit and Violent Crime Reaction Unit, alongside troops from the Army Forward Operating Base, led to the blocking of key escape routes and a fierce gun battle with the criminals.
