The Ogun State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2027 election, Oladipupo Adebutu, has declared that the re-election of Governor Ademola Adeleke in Osun State is clear evidence of growing public disillusionment with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). Speaking on Sunday, Adebutu extended his congratulations to Adeleke, highlighting the significance of the victory as a turning point in Nigeria’s political landscape. He emphasized that the outcome reflects a shift in voter sentiment, driven by dissatisfaction with APC’s performance across the country.
Adebutu noted that the Osun gubernatorial election, held on July 14, 2024, saw Adeleke defeat his closest rival, Senator Isiaka Adeleke of the APC, in a closely contested race.
