The drugs, confirmed to be skunk cannabis after laboratory testing, were recovered during a targeted raid on a known drug hub. Dr. Mitchell Ofoyefu, the NDLEA Edo State Commander, made the announcement in a statement delivered to journalists in Benin City on Monday.
The operation was part of ongoing efforts by law enforcement agencies to dismantle drug trafficking networks operating within the state. Ofoyefu emphasized that the seizure represents a significant blow to illegal drug activities in the region, particularly in areas known for high drug prevalence.
