A tragic multiple-vehicle accident in Lagos claimed the life of a commercial bus driver on Tuesday, following a collision between a Korokpe mini bus and a Toyota Tundra pickup truck with registration number EPE 554 YC at Cele inward Oshodi. The incident, confirmed by the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), occurred along a busy corridor in the state, prompting immediate emergency response and traffic control measures. The driver of the commercial bus suffered fatal injuries and died instantly upon impact, according to initial findings by security operatives at the scene.
LASTMA’s Director of Public Affairs and Enlightenment, Adebayo Taofiq, issued a statement detailing the crash and the agency’s swift response. LASTMA officials, who were conducting routine traffic monitoring in the area, rushed to the scene to coordinate emergency efforts, manage traffic flow, and prevent further congestion.
