ADC Chieftain Nabanki Urges Nigerians to Vote Out APC in 2027 Elections

A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kano, Musa Ibrahim Nabanki, has declared that Nigerians have lost faith in President Bola Tinubu’s administration and will vote it out in the 2027 general elections. Speaking during the ADC stakeholders’ meeting held in Kano on Saturday, Nabanki emphasized that the gathering was a clear sign of public support for the party and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar. He noted that the turnout and enthusiasm at the event reflected a growing desire for change among Nigerians, especially in the face of worsening insecurity and economic hardship.

Nabanki stated that the ADC has been actively working to educate the public about the current state of insecurity across the country. He highlighted that kidnappings, armed banditry, and widespread killings have become daily realities for many Nigerians, especially in the North-West and North-East regions. “We know Atiku will change the narrative if he becomes President,” Nabanki asserted, expressing confidence in Atiku’s ability to restore peace and stability if given the opportunity.

He further argued that Nigeria’s political landscape is dominated by only two major parties: the ADC and the All Progressives Congress (APC). According to Nabanki, other political parties are not genuinely competing but are instead acting as proxies for the APC and President Tinubu. He accused these parties of undermining genuine democratic competition and discouraging meaningful opposition. “They are not fighting for the people; they are fighting for the APC,” he said, urging Nigerians to see through these tactics.

Nabanki called on citizens to channel their frustration into action by voting out the current administration in 2027. He stressed that the people’s suffering must not be ignored and that electoral participation is the most effective way to demand accountability. “The time to act is now,” he declared, urging Nigerians to mobilize and support the ADC’s platform for reform.

The ADC stakeholder meeting in Kano attracted party members, sympathizers, and political observers, signaling a renewed push for the party’s visibility ahead of the next election cycle. Nabanki’s remarks reflect a broader sentiment among opposition groups that the current administration has failed to deliver on key promises, particularly in the areas of security and economic recovery. As the 2027 elections approach, the ADC is positioning itself as a viable alternative, with Atiku Abubakar at the forefront of its campaign for national transformation. The party’s growing presence in Kano and other northern states could influence the political dynamics in the upcoming election.
