Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has declared that the 2027 presidential election is already decided, asserting that President Bola Tinubu will secure at least 95 percent of the votes in the North. Speaking during the flag-off of the 122km Kaduna-Birni Gwari road on Tuesday, Sani expressed unwavering confidence in Tinubu’s re-election prospects, citing widespread support across Northern Nigeria. He emphasized that Kaduna State, as the political and economic hub of the North, remains firmly behind the president due to his developmental projects and commitment to the region.
Governor Sani highlighted that the people of Kaduna are satisfied with Tinubu’s administration, pointing to ongoing infrastructure projects as evidence of progress. He noted that the Western bypass, stretching from the Abuja junction to Kawu motorpark, is being constructed under the Federal Ministry of Works, a project he directly linked to Tinubu’s leadership. Additionally, he announced plans to resume construction of the Eastern bypass within the next two weeks, following discussions with the Minister of Works, further underscoring federal investment in the state.
Sani stressed that Tinubu’s efforts represent a historic shift in how Northern Nigeria is being developed. “No president in the history of Nigeria has done what Tinubu has done for us here in Northern Nigeria,” he declared, challenging anyone to contradict his claim. He recalled that just two weeks prior, he had made a similar bold statement, which was reinforced during the event by both former Governor Nasir El-Rufai and the current Minister of Works, who confirmed the scale and scope of ongoing federal projects in the North.
The governor questioned why previous leaders failed to prioritize Northern Nigeria, suggesting their neglect stemmed from indifference or lack of vision. He praised Tinubu for his “love for the North and humanity,” crediting him with bringing tangible development to the region. According to Sani, Kaduna’s growth is not just beneficial for the state but serves as a model for all Northern states, making it a symbol of progress and unity.
