Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate for Oyo State in the 2027 elections, has confidently declared that his party is strategically positioned to defeat Governor Seyi Makinde’s Allied Peoples Movement (APM) and win all major political contests in the state. Speaking in Ibadan on Monday, Alli emphasized that the APC has put in place the necessary structures, strategies, and resources to secure victory across the presidential, National Assembly, governorship, and House of Assembly elections.
As the Senator representing Oyo South Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Alli addressed a gathering of party members and supporters, urging them to intensify grassroots mobilization efforts. He stressed that while the party’s readiness is evident, sustained engagement with voters remains crucial. “We are strategically positioned to win the presidential, National Assembly, governorship and House of Assembly elections in Oyo State in 2027,” Alli stated firmly during the event.
He further explained that success will not come from individual efforts alone but from collective responsibility within the party. “This is not about individuals. It is about the party and our collective responsibility to build a stronger APC in Oyo State,” he added. Alli called on members to strengthen party structures across all local government areas, ensuring that every ward and community feels the presence of the APC.
The senator highlighted the importance of going directly to the people, engaging them on key issues, and building trust through consistent communication. He noted that winning elections requires more than campaign rallies — it demands long-term relationship-building and visible development projects that resonate with voters.
