The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested three young men in connection with the alleged beating to death of a 50-year-old man, Ibrahim Muhammad, in Kadarbu village, Fufore Local Government Area. The incident occurred on Saturday, September 12, around 9 pm, when Muhammad was attacked at his residence and later died from the injuries sustained. The Mai Unguwar Kadarbu reported the assault to authorities, prompting an immediate police investigation.
According to SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the command’s spokesperson, officers swiftly launched an inquiry into the violent incident. As part of their investigation, they apprehended three suspects: Ibrahim Ahmadu, aged 30; Buba Bala, 22; and Yahaya Bala, 20. All three were taken into custody for questioning following the report of the fatal attack in the rural community.
During interrogation, the suspects confessed to participating in the assault. They admitted that they were accompanied by two other individuals who are currently evading arrest. These two remain at large, and the police have intensified efforts to locate them. The confession has provided crucial leads for investigators as they piece together the events leading up to Muhammad’s death.
The case has now been handed over to the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Yola for further probe and possible prosecution.
