Regrettably, two persons have been recovered dead,” the agency stated. Emergency responders remain at the site, working diligently to ensure all affected persons are accounted for and the area is secured.
Search and rescue operations continue as teams use specialized equipment to locate and extricate anyone still trapped beneath the rubble. The operation is being coordinated by multiple agencies, including the Federal Fire Service, Nigeria Police Force, Nigerian Navy, Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LNSC), and the Nigerian Red Cross Society. These organizations are working in close collaboration to manage the crisis and provide necessary medical and logistical support.

The incident has drawn attention to the need for stricter building regulations and enforcement in urban areas, especially in high-risk zones like Satellite Town.
