APC Reps Aspirant Calls for Review of Awe/Doma/Keana Primary Election Results

Mahasin Usman Attah, an aspirant for the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives ticket in the Awe/Doma/Keana Federal Constituency, has formally called on the party leadership to review the conduct and outcome of the recently concluded primary election in the constituency. The move follows widespread concerns raised by party delegates and stakeholders across the three local government areas, prompting Attah to urge a thorough and objective assessment of the electoral process. She emphasized that transparency, fairness, and due process are essential to maintaining the credibility of the APC’s internal democratic mechanisms.

Speaking to journalists in Lafia, Attah reaffirmed her unwavering loyalty to the ruling party and its leadership, stressing that strengthening internal democracy is crucial for party unity, growth, and electoral success. She highlighted that numerous complaints have been received from party members in Awe, Doma, and Keana, pointing to irregularities and procedural lapses during the primary election. These concerns, she argued, must be addressed to ensure that all stakeholders feel fairly represented and that the party’s integrity remains intact.

“The credibility of any democratic process depends on fairness, transparency, and adherence to due process,” Attah stated. “It is important that concerns raised by party members are given the attention they deserve.” She called on the APC’s primary election committee, as well as state and national party leaders, to carefully evaluate the grievances and take appropriate corrective actions in the interest of justice and party cohesion.

Attah maintained that her appeal for a review is not driven by personal interest but by a genuine desire to uphold the principles upon which the APC was founded. She stressed that sustaining trust among party members requires openness, accountability, and a commitment to democratic values. While urging party leadership to intervene, she also appealed to her supporters and APC members across the federal constituency to remain calm, peaceful, and law-abiding.

She encouraged aggrieved members to seek redress through the party’s established internal mechanisms, warning against actions that could fracture party unity or disrupt the political process. Attah expressed confidence that the APC leadership will act fairly and responsibly in addressing the issues, noting that a transparent resolution will further strengthen the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

She reiterated her commitment to the APC and pledged to continue working for the party’s progress and the development of the Awe/Doma/Keana Federal Constituency. As the party prepares for upcoming elections, the outcome of this review could set a precedent for how internal disputes are handled, shaping the APC’s political trajectory in Nasarawa State and beyond.
