Abidikugu Emerges Winner of ADC House of Reps Primary in Ibadan North East/South East Federal Constituency

Dr Kazeem Adesina Abidikugu has been declared the winner of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) House of Representatives primary election for the Ibadan North East/Ibadan South East Federal Constituency in Oyo State, marking a significant step in the party’s preparations for the 2027 general elections. The primary election, held across all wards in the two local government areas that constitute the federal constituency, concluded with the official announcement of results on Saturday night. The process was conducted under the supervision of the ADC’s primary election committee, ensuring transparency and adherence to party guidelines.

Chairman of the primary election committee in Oyo State, Mr. Harrison Akpojaro, announced the results in the presence of party members, security personnel, and other stakeholders. He confirmed that Abidikugu secured a total of 1,619 votes, emerging as the clear winner in the contest. The announcement was made in a public setting, reinforcing the party’s commitment to open and fair electoral processes within its ranks.

Abidikugu, upon receiving the declaration, expressed gratitude to party members and supporters for their confidence in him.
