Bilyaminu Yusuf Shinkafi, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate in Zamfara State, has declared that security must be the cornerstone of any administration aiming to bring lasting development to the state. Speaking during a formal introduction to party stakeholders, members, and supporters in Gusau on Thursday, Shinkafi emphasized that prosperity cannot take root in an environment where citizens live in fear and insecurity. He highlighted how ongoing insecurity has disrupted communities, displaced families, and forced farmers away from their farmlands, severely affecting agricultural productivity and livelihoods.
Shinkafi stated clearly that his proposed government will place security at the forefront of its agenda, ensuring that peace is restored and maintained across all local government areas. He argued that without safety, no meaningful progress can be made in education, healthcare, or economic growth. His campaign promises include addressing key challenges such as widespread poverty, poor access to quality education, inadequate healthcare services, and limited job opportunities for the youth.
The ADC candidate outlined a comprehensive plan focused on improving public services and empowering citizens.
