In his acceptance speech, Governor Abiodun expressed gratitude to the electorate for their trust, calling it a vote of confidence in his administration. He promised to deliver quality representation and not disappoint his supporters.

Recalling his past political journey, Abiodun noted that he had contested for the same senatorial seat 29 years ago and won, but was not sworn in. He credited his eventual success in the 2019 governorship election to divine intervention and perseverance. He also thanked security agencies, INEC officials, his cabinet, and staff, referring to them as “unsung heroes” for their support. As the APC prepares for the general elections, Abiodun’s victory positions him as a strong contender for the Ogun East Senatorial seat, reinforcing his political influence in the state.
