Two Suspected Killers Stab Man to Death in Adamawa State

A 22-year-old man, Daniel Samuel, has died from knife wounds in Adamawa State after reporting to police that he was attacked by two men. The incident occurred on Sunday, April 12, in Michika town, where Samuel arrived at the Divisional Police Headquarters with visible injuries and blood stains on his body. He told officers that he was stabbed on the back by Dakiyar Tumba, 23, and Sini Luka, 31, both residents of the same area. The Adamawa State Police Command confirmed the case and stated that both suspects have been arrested in connection with conspiracy and culpable homicide.

Upon receiving the report, police operatives from the Michika Divisional Headquarters immediately rushed Samuel to the hospital. Despite medical intervention, he was later pronounced dead. The state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje, disclosed this in a statement released to journalists in Yola. He confirmed that the victim’s body has been taken to the hospital morgue for autopsy to determine the exact cause of death and gather forensic evidence.

Nguroje added that the knife used in the attack has been recovered and will be presented as evidence during the investigation. The suspects are currently in custody and are being interrogated by the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID). The state Commissioner of Police, CP Kabir Umar Hassan, has condemned the violent act and directed SCID to conduct a thorough and diligent investigation. He emphasized the need for justice and swift prosecution of those responsible.

The case has sparked concern among residents of Michika and surrounding communities, who are calling for increased security measures to prevent such violent incidents. Police have reassured the public that they are taking the matter seriously and are committed to maintaining law and order.
