Adekunle Oladeji, former Chairman of Aare Latosa Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Oyo State, has officially defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to join the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), marking a significant political shift ahead of the 2027 general elections. The development was confirmed by Oladeji himself in a statement to DAILY POST on Saturday, where he acknowledged his departure from the APC and his new allegiance to the APM. Oladeji served as chairman of Aare Latosa LCDA during the administration of former Governor Senator Abiola Ajimobi, a tenure that solidified his presence in local governance and party politics. Aare Latosa LCDA is one of the local council development areas under Ibadan North Local Government Area, a key political zone in the state. His leadership during that period earned him recognition and influence within the APC structure, particularly in the Ibadan North axis.
Interestingly, Oladeji’s father, Alhaji B.A.O. Oladeji, remains a prominent figure in the APC, having previously served as the Oyo South Senatorial District Chairman of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN).
