The Alhaji Saminu Turaki-led faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Taraba State has launched a reconciliation initiative to address internal disputes affecting several aspirants ahead of upcoming political activities. State Chairman Obidah Bitrus, along with members of the State Working Committee, convened a strategic meeting with the newly inaugurated Reconciliation Committee. The committee is chaired by Chief John Mamman, with Idoji Baraya serving as Secretary. Other key members include Abdulrazak Musa, Younger Banger Binger, and Nathaniel Jorner Shaver. Their mandate is to listen to the concerns of aspirants, verify facts surrounding the disputes, and prepare an objective report for the party leadership.
The reconciliation process includes one-on-one sessions with the affected aspirants to gather firsthand accounts of the issues. The PDP leadership in Taraba State stressed that maintaining internal cohesion is vital for the party’s long-term success.
