Taraba State University (TSU) in Jalingo has intensified its fight against drug abuse and cultism after apprehending two 300-level students from the Department of Public Administration, Faculty of Management Sciences, for allegedly smoking cannabis on campus. The students were intercepted during a routine operation by officers of the Directorate of Narcotics and Anti-Cultism, who found them in possession of substances suspected to be cannabis and reportedly engaged in smoking within the university premises. The incident occurred as part of the institution’s ongoing efforts to uphold a safe and disciplined academic environment.
The Director of the Directorate of Narcotics and Anti-Cultism emphasized that the operation reflects the university’s strict zero-tolerance policy on drug use and other activities that threaten campus peace.
