A popular TikTok influencer in Kano State, Fati Cele, has been detained by police following the mysterious death of her boyfriend, Isma’il Makaye, at her residence in Danbare. Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding Makaye’s death, which reportedly involved burn injuries and blood traces found on his body.
Fati Cele, originally from Borno State, lives in a rented apartment in the Danbare area of Kano. She gained popularity through her TikTok content, where she shares daily life moments and engages with a growing audience. Her boyfriend, Isma’il Makaye, was a cosmetics trader based in Hotoro Tishama, Kano. According to a close associate, the couple had faced relationship difficulties in the past but had recently reconciled before the incident.
