Adebayo Adelabu, immediate past Minister of Power and former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, has officially declared his intention to contest the 2027 Oyo State gubernatorial election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC. The announcement was made on Tuesday at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium in Oke Ado, Ibadan, in the presence of key APC leaders including Chief Kunle Sanda, Chief Isiaka Alimi, and Chief Wale Sanusi. Speaking to a large gathering, Adelabu expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah and acknowledged the contributions of past leaders and former governors of the state who have since passed on.
